The Home Care Packages program is subsidised by the Australian government to provide long term support for older people who would like to stay living independently in their homes. There are four different levels of care and funds each package delivers. These funds can be used to buy hours of care and/or other supports you may need.
Each care recipient is assessed for their eligibility and level of package and the funds assigned to them are not paid directly to the recipient, they are administered by a package provider.
