Molong dates back to the early 1830’s, following the journey through the area of Sir Thomas Mitchell, the famous Australian explorer. The name Molong comes from the aboriginal word meaning ‘all rocks’.
Molong is an outstanding farming district, producing wheat, sheep, wool and cattle, with fruit-growing and wineries being important industries in the area.
