Extra care, when you need it most.
Burrangiri Aged Care Respite Centre is an ACT health site operated by The Salvation Army Aged Care. The Centre specialises in providing respite (short-term) care for older Australians. Our respite centre allows carers to take a break or do other tasks, while the person being cared for can enjoy a change of scene in a supportive and friendly, communal atmosphere.
We specialise in restorative experiences for our clients and can provide a place to stay as a short-term break, a longer term stay or other programs as support for when needed most. Clients can join us for just a few hours or stay for up to 3 weeks. Our model of care is flexible, holistic and personalised.
We take care of all meals, personal care and provide a wide range of activities that are both fun and designed to support the health and wellbeing of our clients. We also have a range of amenities including a library and hairdressing salon. For longer stays, all rooms are fully-furnished and have been designed with comfort and security in mind in our single storey centre.
The Centre is easy to access with public transport and is only 5 minutes’ drive away from the Cooleman Court Shopping Centre and 15 minutes from Canberra Central.
An ACAT assessment is not necessary to access our care. However, if you require an ACAT assessment, we can assist with arranging this onsite.
Our friendly team is happy to answer any questions that you may have. Feel free to contact us on 1300 111 227 or email us at agedcare.enquiries@salvationarmy.org.au
