Craigcare Albany

CraigCare Albany is a long established member in the Albany community. With our homely furnishings and active lifestyle program it certainly does not have a clinical feel about it. CraigCare Albany is a very close knit community and this spirit fills the care community with laughter and friendship.

CraigCare Albany offers personalised rooms with individual care. We have a variety of single rooms with semi-ensuites and companion rooms. This allows choice for either your own privacy, for couples to stay together or for residents to make new and close friends through a shared room. Each room has built-in robes, an emergency call button and many have their own hand basins.

We offer shared lounge and dining rooms, and living spaces full of natural light provide the perfect space to relax, socialise and entertain family and friends. CraigCare Albany offers private facilities specifically to be used by residents and their family and friends for special events (e.g. birthday parties). Quiet zones and more secluded spaces are also a feature of our design to allow for more private family visits. Residents, family and friends are welcome to use our pool table for some relaxing fun.

CraigCare Albany also has a hairdresser to help you look and feel your best.

CraigCare Albany’s special outdoor farm space includes raised vegetable gardens, fruit trees, herb gardens and chickens. For residents accustomed to living a rural lifestyle, this offers continuity of lifestyle and connection to the land. This farm space is also used for garden-to-plate meal experiences where residents are involved in growing the food that is served at meal times.

CraigCare Albany’s purpose built outdoor sensory garden promotes memory stimulation and offers plenty of opportunities for physical activities and continued involvement in lifestyle activities that have always been part of residents’ lives.

There are pets that visit our residents on a regular basis and of course family pets are also welcome to visit. We also have furry friends who live with us including a dog, guinea pigs, chickens, finches and budgies in our aviary.
