Commonwealth Home Support Program

The Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) is funded through the Australian Government Department of Health. This funding provides assistance to support clients 50 years or older and identify as an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander person to remain in their homes.

CHSP is funded to provide the following services:

• Domestic Assistance

• Home Maintenance

• Personal Care

• Transport

• Aids and Equipment

• Social Support Individual

 • Social Support Groups

 • Specialised Support Services, and

 • Assistance with Care and Housing.

CHSP provides programs directly through DWECHS or if needed we can broker services through other providers. The services we deliver require us to expend the funding to hire staff, purchase capital equipment, purchase small equipment, consumables and food for the running of different programs.
