Prins Willem Alexander Village provides a safe and comfortable environment for independent living. As a nod to MiCare’s Dutch background, it reflects characteristics of a typical Dutch town or ‘dorp’.
The residential village is beautifully located in Brisbane’s bayside suburb of Birkdale in the Redlands. It’s located at the front of the block as you enter the complex from Collingwood Road and at the rear of the block surrounding the entrance of Kensington Place.
The village consists of 9 three-bedroom, 45 two-bedroom and 7 one-bedroom units, and 14 one-bedroom apartments which vary in size and layout.
Each unit has a spacious living and dining area, kitchen, bedrooms with built-in robes, bathroom, toilet and laundry. Also, each unit has its own garden and garage.
Each unit has a garden, which is great for those who enjoy gardening. Garden maintenance can also be carried out by our staff. Home maintenance can be offered as well.
Parking is available for visitors.
There is a lot to do at the village. Activities and events are organised by residents and volunteers in de Soos and the Martin Jonkers Pavilion, to celebrate being part of a small community.
You can meet with other residents in de Soos to enjoy activities, such as card games, craft, pool and other social events. The space is suited to social gatherings and celebrations as it provides a small kitchen as well. It also features a library. Friends and family are always welcome to come and visit – it is your home.
If you want to venture into the wider world, bus services operate from the entrance of the village to local shopping centres. Birkdale railway station is also just at the back of the village.
