Wongaburra provides assistance for older people who wish to remain in their home through individualised tailored support known as ‘Consumer Directed Care’ (CDC). This has been given to facilities under the direction of the government to give older people and their carers a greater say about their care type services they receive and how those services are delivered. Community support is offered through day and evening respite, transport assistance and the provision of a meal during social activities such as Tai Chi, Hydrotherapy, Men’s Shed and ‘FOLKS’ (Friends Old and young Looking at Keeping Socially fit).
Other services available include home maintenance, cleaning and meals.
