Fees
Depending on your financial situation, your care and accommodation costs may be partly or fully covered by the government.
Care Costs
Basic daily fee: A daily fee is applicable to all residents (including those in respite care) regardless of which residence chosen. It is set by the Department of Human Services as a contribution to cover the costs of daily living. For some people this is the only fee they are required to pay.
Means-tested care fee: A contribution that some people pay towards the cost of their care, determined by a means assessment. Read more here.
Accommodation Costs:
An amount that some people pay to contribute towards or cover the full costs of their room, depending on their means assessment.
OneCare offers a range of payment plans. Residents can choose to pay by a refundable deposit, a daily payment, or a combination of both.
- Refundable Accommodation Deposit: this is a government guaranteed lump sum payment which is fully refundable. Read more here.
- Daily Accommodation Payment: if you don’t have access to a lump sum, this allows you to pay a daily fee for your service. The base cost is refundable but the interest you pay is not. Read more here.
