Gill Waminda Aged Care Centre is an inclusive and supportive community located just 5 minutes’ drive away from the heart of Goulburn town centre. With lush green surroundings, an award-winning architectural design and comfortable and spacious interiors, our Centre is a close-knit community with qualified and compassionate staff who care for our residents like family. Feel right at home with our person-centred model of care.
At Gill Waminda Aged Care Centre, we recognise the importance of family and friends and encourage them to be an active part of our community. Our staff work closely with families to ensure that their loved one receives the best care for them specifically, and our dedicated family area allows our residents to spend quality time and celebrate special occasions with their families. We work hard to create a home for our residents and many of our staff have had their own family stay at our Centre and many of our staff’s family members have also jumped on board to join our team.
We have strong ties and work closely with the local community, and over time we have built a reputation as an organisation that genuinely cares for others in need without discrimination, regardless of their personal circumstances.
Our Services
Holistic care that’s all about you. At Gill Waminda Aged Care Centre, we offer 24-hour permanent residential care including dementia care and palliative care; and respite (short-term) care. We also offer residents in-house NDIS related services.
Our staff and Chaplain go beyond the clinical to cater for the physical, emotional and spiritual wellbeing of our residents. Our residents are in good hands with our friendly, compassionate and qualified staff whose aim is to ensure all residents receive the best care possible and enjoy their time at our Centre, their home.
24 – Hour care from our dedicated and personal staff
Each staff member has undergone reference and security checks to ensure they are fully qualified, experienced and are passionate about working in the aged care sector. Our staff undergo ongoing training as well to make sure they are up to speed with the latest processes and knowledge. Emotional intelligence and sensitivity to diversity are other key factors that we take into consideration when recruiting staff into our Centre community.
Specialised dementia care
Our approach to dementia care is led by each resident’s interests, feelings and emotions. We respect the rich lives they have led by tailoring our care based on their personal history in a dedicated dementia-friendly environment. Environment can have a big impact on the quality of life. The Long Reef wing is specifically designed to meet the needs of residents with severe behavioural and psychological symptoms of dementia.
