Hi there!

Thank you for dropping by.  My name is Adaline, but most people call me Addie. I am the owner and main driver of Driving Miss Daisy Forest Lake. Whilst Driving Miss Daisy has been operating for over a decade in Canada, England and NZ, we are new to Brisbane. We offer companionship and care enabling folk such yourself to enjoy their independence by getting out and about and attending appointments, going shopping, catching up with friends or enjoying a day outing. Our service stands well apart from other services as it is professional, personal and very affordable. We never charge a surcharge and so our rate is fixed before your journey with us.

We provide a safe, reliable, friendly and fun companion driving service. Whilst my husband (John) and I live locally (Forest Lake) we are more than happy to pick you up from a different suburb, in fact from anywhere you want, and drive you wherever you need to go! You won’t find us waiting in a taxi rank as we are pre-booked service. All you need to do is phone or text us to make a booking – mobile:  0447 195 554.  In short, we see our service as ‘Family, when family can’t be there’.

We offer so much more than just driving you to your destination. We don’t honk the car horn in your driveway.  We will walk to your door to make sure you are okay and ask if you need a hand with locking up before leaving. We will also provide the same service when dropping you back home. We can even help you unpack your groceries after a trip to shops, or help feed your pet, before we depart.  If you use a wheelchair or walker our lovely Daisy Car is large enough to accommodate this.  Perhaps you have an assistance dog or would like to take your fur baby out to the groomers, they are more than welcome to come along in the Daisy Car. 

The blue Daisy vehicle is unmistakable with pictures of daisies decorating the exterior. The inside is immaculate, as we personally clean the Daisy Car before each trip.  It has leather seats, which not only look good, but are super comfortable.   I also wear a Daisy uniform and love chatting with a diverse range of people. If you book a trip with me, you know upfront, exactly what is included for the price, so there are no surprises.

If you are up for a chat during your journey, I will make you feel like we are old friends.  I have many interests including, movies, music, art and animals.  I have previously worked in Education, and I am also a qualified Holistic Therapist.  I am a people person and see people as a whole.  I truly believe our physical, emotional, social and spiritual wellbeing are all interconnected. 

Perhaps you would like to listen some music (your choice of course) on the way to your appointment? Or maybe you simply prefer to sit back, look out and enjoy a quiet journey to your destination?  If you choose Miss Daisy, you will always have choices, it is about you and your needs and wants. My goal is to make you feel safe and comfortable during our time together.

My youngest client is two years old and my oldest is 92 years of age.   Almost all our clients are repeat clients. We also offer one off trips, such as pick up/drop offs to the airport, regular daily pick-ups, short journeys or much longer ones, the choice is yours.  Maybe you and a couple of your friends are wanting to go to a special event, or for a night out?  Perhaps you would like to take a day trip? Wherever you are wanting to go and whatever you are wanting to do, the choices are endless.  Life is for making memories, getting out and about, and enjoying life!

John and I both are both first aid qualified, police checked and hold current Blue Cards.  We also have all necessary licenses and insurances required to operate our professional business, Driving Miss Daisy Forest Lake.

Payment can be made, by card or cash or direct bank transfer. Maybe you are a NDIS client or on an aged care package?  Please talk to Driving Miss Daisy Forest Lake about your options, as a portion of the total cost or often the full amount of the trip will be covered by through your NDIS or Aged Care Package.  Once I am registered with your provider, I simply send the invoice to your provider, and they take care of the rest. 

Life isn’t meant to be difficult or hard.  It is to be enjoyed and by me assisting you, I can make your life a little easier, with some fun along the way.  Nothing is too much trouble and friends are strangers we have not met yet.  Let’s embrace life together and get out and do some of those things you have been thinking about for ages, or at least let me help with some of those necessary outings such as dental or medical appointments or even a trip to the local grocery store to grab a few things.
